This is a mixed-method study that explores how people are using animals to assist them with their disability and the barriers to access people are encountering with their animals in public. The study will disseminate a short survey to users of assistance animals on the use of the animals and their access issues and conduct a series of deliberative dialogues with stakeholders to produce a set of recommendations on improving access, including model service animal policies for entities serving the public.
