Employment and Reasonable Accommodation

Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities have the right to participate in all programs, services, and activities, including employment. Employees and applicants with disabilities have the right to participate in all aspects of employment (applying, training, the job, insurance, and wellness programs). To participate, people sometimes need a change in the way things are normally done. This webinar will discuss possible reasonable accommodations and the interactive process.

This training is offered as a part of the ADA Coalition of Connecticut’s ADA Coordinator certification series for CT ADA Coordinators. Credits can be applied toward the national certificate.

Course Objectives

• Overview of the ADA and who the law applies to.
• Understand the interactive reasonable accommodation process.
• Think through possible accommodations.
