Access to healthcare is critical for people with disabilities, but often many barriers exist. This webinar will review how court decisions and settlement agreements have impacted the ADA’s application to healthcare. Topics will include effective communication, accessible medical facilities and equipment, and service animals in healthcare facilities. The webinar will also focus on how certain disabilities have been addressed in the healthcare context, including opioid use disorder and HIV/AIDs. In addition to reviewing specific court decisions and settlement agreements, this session will also identify trends and potential issues for future ADA healthcare-related litigation.
