The 4th Thursday ADA Talks are monthly webinars on topics about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), disability rights, and access that run for 1 hour on the 4th Thursday from January to October 2026 (10 webinars).

In This 4th Thursday ADA Talk: 

Explore the intersection of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and voting rights, focusing on ensuring equitable access to the voting process for people with disabilities. You will learn about key federal laws that protect voting access, including the ADA, Voting Rights Act, and Help America Vote Act (HAVA), plus how these laws apply to polling places, voter registration, and election communications.

This webinar will highlight common barriers faced by voters with disabilities, such as inaccessible polling locations, transportation challenges, communication barriers, and inaccessible voting equipment, and provides practical strategies for removing them. You will also gain a better understanding of reasonable modifications and effective communication, and how to ensure inclusive civic participation on election day.

This webinar is designed for advocates, election officials, community organizations, and anyone interested in promoting accessible and inclusive elections. You will leave with practical tools, knowledge of voting rights under the ADA, and resources to support voters with disabilities and strengthen access to the voting process.
