The ADA National Network provides information, guidance, and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in support of the ADA’s mission to “assure equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities.” Funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the network consists of ten regional ADA Centers located throughout the United States, a national ADA Knowledge Translation Center (ADAKTC), and a collaborative research project. ADA Technical Assistance Specialists in each of the ten regional ADA Centers provide information and guidance to individuals and organizations. Information about the technical assistance and training activities of the regional ADA Centers is collected in the Outcome Measurement System (OMS) online database, managed by the ADAKTC. The OMS is also used to record training provision and web and social media analytics.

In 2024, the ADA National Network fulfilled technical assistance requests for 12,832 individuals and provided 1,194 training events and 5,832 referrals. The group that most frequently requested technical assistance was “individual with a disability” (n=5,818), followed by “family member of a person with a disability” (n=1,410), and “business” (n=1,084). The title of the ADA related to the most requests for technical assistance was Title III (about public accommodations) (n=3,375). The topics most often inquired about were reasonable accommodation (n=2,297), facility access (n=1,987), and general ADA information (n=1,575). It was common for technical assistance requests to relate to other, non-ADA laws, with the Fair Housing Act (n=1,488) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (n=600) being most common. Organizations that the ADA Technical Assistance Specialists made referrals to most frequently were the Department of Justice, independent living centers, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Outcomes Survey found that 75% of the respondents felt the information provided to them was useful. They reported that something changed in 41% of the situations. The most common types of outcomes were implementation outcomes.

The ADA National Network delivered 1,194 training events to about 75,000 participants. These training events were primarily delivered as presentations (n=585). The most common training topics were general ADA information, reasonable accommodations, and non-discrimination.

The ADA National Network communicated with the general public and partners through the ADA National Network Newsletter, national and regional websites, and social media platforms. The ADA National Network Newsletter ended the year with 4,832 subscribers. Most visitors to the national ADA National Network website arrived via organic search, and there were a total of 2,204,000 page views during 2024.
