ADA Live! Episode 47: Emergencies: How to Prepare for Them and What To Do Afterwards
Event Date/Time:
Location:
Description:
Emergencies can happen without warning, and most of us are unprepared for them. Everyone – whether or not you have a disability – should be prepared for sudden emergencies.
An emergency can mean a flood, fire, earthquake, hurricane or other natural disaster. However, an emergency can also be a natural gas leak, a sudden sinkhole in your neighborhood, or a tree falling on your house.
This episode of ADA Live! will discuss what anyone should do in an emergency, and specifically what people with disabilities should do before, during, and after an emergency. Our guest speakers will be: Mary Morder - Materials Development Specialist at the Southeast ADA Center, Christine Woodell - ADA Trainer for LIFE of Mississippi, and Christy Dunaway - Disability Integration Coordinator for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
FREE and no registration is required.
