People with disabilities continue to face barriers when trying to secure and maintain housing. The Fair Housing Act (FHA) is one of the most important federal civil rights laws protecting individuals with disabilities from housing discrimination. This two-part webinar series is designed to help service providers understand these protections and how to support the people they serve.
Through this series, participants will learn how the Fair Housing Act applies to disability-related housing issues, including reasonable accommodations, accessibility requirements, and protections against discrimination in renting, buying, or living in housing. The webinars will also provide practical guidance on identifying potential fair housing violations and helping individuals assert their rights.
Note: Each webinar has captioning and American Sign Language (ASL).
