10:00 AM PDT - 11:30 AM PDT

Location:

Online Webinar

Description:

Session One of our "Service Animals 101" two-session webinar series.

There are several pieces of legislation that cover disability law, not to mention state and local laws—and many of them mention service animals. But each law has different applications. For example, there are different definitions for service animals, and different rules about if or what type of documentation is allowed to be elicited from service animal handlers. So, how can you tell what is a service animal or an emotional support animal? And as a handler, what are your rights and responsibilities?

This 90 minute webinar will discuss several disability laws and their specific regulations regarding service animals, and how state and local service animal law may be different than the federal law. We will also go over guidance with regard to approaching service animals and the reasons for respecting these working animals.

This webinar is meant to be interactive—we know there are a lot of questions out there about service animals. We will be happy to take questions throughout and at the conclusion of the webinar.
