FAIRly Accessible: How Would a Patron with a Disability Rate Their Community or State Fair Experience?

Event Date/Time:

Tuesday, September 13th, 2016
10:00 AM PDT - 11:30 AM PDT

How can you ensure that customers, clients and employees at state and community fairs do not experience discrimination based on having a disability?

David Barton will answer that question based on his experience working with the Alaska State Fair organizations in their efforts to improve accessibility.  This course is specifically designed by the Northwest ADA Center to assist fair organizers and vendors to understand and improve their ADA compliance efforts for people with disabilities. Participants will develop a basic understanding of ADA compliance responsibilities, how to develop an accessibility improvement plan, and where to go for resources or questions when needed.
