Description:

In a time when the very fabric of inclusion, accessibility, and equity is being tested and redefined across our nation, Living Independently for Today and Tomorrow (LIFTT) invites you to join us in celebrating a cornerstone of American civil rights: the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We will gather on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at our Billings headquarters (1241 Crawford Drive, Billings, MT) to mark this milestone — not merely as a remembrance of past victories, but as a call to action for the work that still lies ahead. This year's theme, "A New Horizon for Aging and Disability Inclusion," reminds us that accessibility is not static; it evolves with every generation, every innovation, and every courageous voice that demands a seat at the table. At a moment when America is at a crossroads, celebrating the ADA becomes more than ceremony — it becomes a reaffirmation of the kind of society we choose to be. The event will feature: 1. Interactive booths from our partners in healthcare, employment, transportation, and independent living 2. A lively outdoor gathering with local food trucks and refreshments 3. A ceremonial cake-cutting to honor the ADA’s lasting impact. 4. Inspiring addresses by leaders, advocates, and community members reflecting on the unfinished story of disability rights in Montana and beyond.
