Join the U.S. Access Board, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for a presentation reviewing accessibility and air travel logistics starting from arrival to the airport to boarding and deplaning. We will also cover the laws that pertain to airport terminals and air travel, along with common access issues and solutions.     This session will provide a detailed look at how FDIC leverages the ServiceNow platform to manage and scale its digital accessibility operations. Participants will learn how FDIC uses ServiceNow for document remediation requests, Section 508 training, ICT application testing, and IT reasonable accommodation requests. The session will emphasize the value of strong ticket management practices for maintaining timely compliance, and demonstrate how ServiceNow’s reporting tools – such as dashboards, charts, and data exports- help monitor performance and inform leadership.     The ADA requires equal access to healthcare services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism. However, lack of tools, training and an understanding of these disabilities often results in worse health outcomes, particularly in emergency or crisis situations. In this webinar, Justin Severs (Carter Kits co-founder and father of Carter) along with Andie (Training & Grants Manager and Pediatric Champion) will share the history and mission of Carter Kits sensory bags along with helpful information on how to access these sensory bags to support first responders, medical teams and other community partners who may interact with individuals on the spectrum or who are neurodivergent. Carter Kits sensory bags are designed for use in emergency or crisis situations, to ensure professionals have tools and training to more appropriately communicate with and care for neurodivergent individuals. The items are clinically proven to assist those who are neurodivergent and promote improved communication and de-escalation. The mission of Carter Kits and the EMS for Children Program align to improve readiness to care for all children, especially the most vulnerable, to improve outcomes and decrease morbidity and mortality in emergency encounters. The EMS for Children program has been a long-time partner with Carter Kits, striving to ensure evidence based training and resources are made available to all first responders, emergency department staff and other healthcare professionals. You will also hear from Dr. Sam Wrobleski (the Michigan EMS for Children Program Coordinator) about how the program supports improved readiness in emergency medical services to care for children in partnership with Carter Kits, along with ideas for how you can collaborate with partners in your state or region.
