Presented by the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center and the Great Plains ADA Center in collaboration with the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), this session features Dr. Anjali Forber-Pratt, Director of NIDILRR and two-time Paralympian. A live question and answer segment will follow her keynote address from our recent “Find Your Fun” adaptive sports event.

What role does adaptive sports play in the lives of youth with disabilities? Listen as Dr. Forber-Pratt highlights her road to the Paralympics, what the research says about participation in sports for people with disabilities, and how we can all work together to address remaining barriers and elevate the adaptive sports and Paralympic movements to the forefront of sports and recreation.
