ADA 30th: Moving Forward

Event Date/Time:

Friday, July 24th, 2020
10:00 AM CDT - 11:30 AM CDT

July marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! 21 agencies and organizations from across the State are celebrating with a series of virtual workshops throughout the month, culminating in a big, Texas-style celebration.

Friday, July 24th will open with a series of notable disability advocates sharing their experience with the ADA- what it was like to see it implemented, how it has furthered the civil rights of Americans with disabilities, and where it still needs to go. After that, we will take a virtual tour of Texas with brief ADA birthday wishes from local disability advocates across the state.

Don’t miss out! Make sure you check out our ADA 30: Moving Forward webinars at

Real time captioning and sign language interpreters will be available, if you need other accommodations, email or 512-463-5739.
