ADA 30th: Moving Forward

10:00 AM CDT - 11:30 AM CDT

Location:

Online

Description:

July marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! 21 agencies and organizations from across the State are celebrating with a series of virtual workshops throughout the month, culminating in a big, Texas-style celebration.

Friday, July 24th will open with a series of notable disability advocates sharing their experience with the ADA- what it was like to see it implemented, how it has furthered the civil rights of Americans with disabilities, and where it still needs to go. After that, we will take a virtual tour of Texas with brief ADA birthday wishes from local disability advocates across the state.
