Description:

There are thousands of people in recovery from addiction who are unaware of their civil rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA ensures that people with disabilities, including those with alcohol use disorder and substance use disorders, have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. However, the piece of the ADA on addiction and recovery is the most underutilized. In this webinar, we will discuss the ADA definition of disability as it applies to alcohol and substance use disorders using scenarios to illustrate the application of the ADA as it relates to alcohol, opioids, cocaine, and marijuana.
