Join the Montgomery Parks Program Access team for an inside look at how they achieve compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act by making their parks, programs, and events inclusive and accessible to individuals with disabilities.

This session will explore how Montgomery Parks provides both individualized support and public access through services such as trained support staff, ASL interpretation, adaptive equipment, assistive listening devices, large-print materials, and more. The presenters will also share how they offer specialized adaptive recreation programs and support inclusive opportunities across the park system.

Through strong partnerships, thoughtful planning, and a commitment to equity, Montgomery Parks works to ensure that outdoor spaces and experiences are welcoming to all. Whether you’re a practitioner, partner, or advocate for inclusion, this session will offer practical strategies and inspiration for creating accessible public recreation.

Presenters:

Jennene Blakely, CTRS, CPRP, Program Access Manager, M-NCPPC, Montgomery Parks
Amanda Espinoza, Inclusion and Adaptive Sports Specialist, M-NCPPC, Montgomery Parks
