The U.S. Access Board originally issued its ADA Accessibility Guidelines for transportation vehicles in 1991. Since then many new technologies and vehicles have been introduced into public transportation. This session will review updates to the ADA guidelines for buses and vans and give an overview of current research related to circulation within a vehicle by people with mobility disabilities and other issues affecting accessibility to transportation vehicles.
