In recognition of the 25th Anniversary of the American with Disability Act, AIA Maine and Alpha One (Maine's Center for Independent Living) are collaborating on a Maine Design Awards program called SustainABLE for ME Design Awards.

 All submissions and winners will be presented on the AIA Maine website; past design awards galleries can be viewed at www.aiamaine.org/awards/. The goal is to have submissions for the 25th ADA Anniversary that represent excellence in accessible and socially sustainable design in Maine.

The lakeside awards event is scheduled for September 25, 2015 on the accessible campus of Pine Tree Camp, a program of Pine Tree Society, in Rome, Maine. The event will also feature a workshop called The New SustainABILITY focusing on Universal Design led by experts in the field of access and universal design.
