Description:
The Superhero Project creates joy - one character at a time! We use creative thinking and the arts to inspire children with special needs and serious illnesses, interviewing them about their superhero alter egos and how they want to make the world a better place. Each child is then matched with an artist who designs the characters they describe, creating a visual representation of their strength, courage and resilience. To celebrate #ADA30, we've created a virtual exhibit featuring the superheroes of kids with a wide range of abilities, a video and an essay by Nikki Montgomery, the executive director of Madvocator Educational and Healthcare Advocacy Training. This joyous collection celebrates the power of imagination as a tool for healing!
